Phillies Are Phinally The World Series Champions
2008-11-03 16:14:42
Wow. I wish I knew what to say...This championship has been hiding itself from our city for the past 25 years, and it feels GREAT to bring it back home.
Though of course, I had my camera in hand to catch all of the action for Palestra.net, I went as a fan as well. Not just any fan...But the crazy die-hard that I am. In fact, I can confidently say that I was the first person out of over 1.5 million at the parade last Friday. "But Ari, how can you be so sure?" Great question...At 12:30am (11 and a half hours before the parade) I arrived at city hall, and walked around to check for other signs of life. Of course, there were none.
Overall (as you would expect) it was the time of my life! I even caught myself crying a little bit, but it was all worth it! Seeing those floats drive down Broad street was a really special feeling that I and millions of other will not soon forget.
