Dawn is a proud alumna of THE Ohio State University -how firm thy friendship. She grew up in Strongsville, Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland. As a Palestra reporter, she has covered various college sporting events, including the 2007 National Championship football game and the Heisman Trophy Ceremony. When she's not working, you can find her cheering on the Buckeye football team, speaking Spanish, running, or hanging out with her amigos. Go Bucks!

OSU's David Lighty Out 6-12 Weeks

The Ohio State Athletic Department just released a statement saying Ohio State guard David Lighty will miss 6-12 weeks with a broken foot. He underwent surgery on Thursday after suffering the injury in Wednesday night's game against Jacksonville. Check back on Friday for comments from coach Thad Matta and players.

Gotta Love The Cafe

Columbus, OH got hit with some pretty powerful wind on Sunday, leaving many without power--including the Palestra.net office! So, Shelby Holliday and I are making a day out of hanging out at Mo Joe's Cafe downtown. Apparently everyone else had the same idea as this cafe is CROWDED!!! I had to make a new friend in order to get a power outlet for my laptop. His name is Eric--thanks Eric!!! :) We're hoping the other Palestra reporters are not slacking off because we're getting some serious work done here...all while listening to Christmas-like music. This atmosphere kind of reminds me of being in Europe again...minus the foreign languages being spoken.

ThePalestra.com Fall Tour just visited UCLA and I am in love with the campus. I mean, my real love with always be the campus of The Ohio State University, but UCLA is gorgeous!!!! We had a great time finding out why the Bruin Bear is "hibernating" and went to the "Beat 'SC" pep rally. Good times all around, and I'm definitely a fan of the Bruins.
